A person may hear that a strain is mild and take more than they should. Another person may hear that a strain is strong and enter the session with fear. In both cases, the name shapes expectation without giving reliable compound data.

You should also know that labeling can be loose. The same name may be used by different growers. The genetics may differ. The handling may differ. Two samples sold under the same name may not match in potency.

A better question is not which strain sounds strongest. A better question is what active compound content is known, how the material was handled and what support exists around the experience.

Dried mushroom weight and active compound content

Dried mushroom weight is a common way people talk about mushroom quantity, but it is an imperfect proxy for psilocybin potency. Weight tells you how much material is present. It does not tell you the active compound content unless the material has been tested.

Fresh mushrooms contain a large amount of water. Drying removes most of that water. This means fresh weight and dried weight cannot be compared casually. A fresh amount and a dried amount may sound similar but represent very different material.
