ONE Retreats Jamaica, acting as the official Practicum & Fieldwork Partner, and the University of Ottawa’s Master of Arts in Psychedelics and Consciousness Studies program have joined forces to offer a practical fieldwork opportunity in psilocybin-assisted therapy. Students take part in a six-day retreat in Negril, Jamaica, where they gain direct experience in guided therapy sessions under expert supervision. In February 2025, four PhD students combined academic research with clinical training in a legally regulated setting. This collaboration represents a significant step in merging academic study with real-world practice in psychedelic medicine.
